Afra & Tobia Scarpa “925” coffee table for Cassina, walnut, Italy, 1966.

This coffee table exemplifies the Scarpas’ collaboration with Cassina in the 1960s. The clear walnut frame recalls the “925” easy chair and “121” chair cubical volume.
The support structure uses solid wood planks with a trestle assembly. The width of the crosspiece is double the width of the feet, and the design of their point of contact uses the elegant solution of a slightly curved connection.
