Nanda Vigo “Top” Dining Room Set for Édition Fai International, 1970s

Description

Nanda Vigo “Top” dining room set for Édition Fai International, fabric, metal and glass, France, 1970s.

This dining room set is a part of the "Top" series, designed by Nanda Vigo for Editions Fai International in the 1970s. She focused on the conflict and the harmony between light and space, combining mirrors and glass surfaces. Her design pieces create light and shadow effects that enrich the surrounding space, demonstrating an interdisciplinary relationship between art, design, architecture, and environment.

Passionate for art from an early age, Nanda Vigo (1936 - 2020) opened her studio in Milan in 1959. She focused on the conflict and the harmony between light and space in her architectural and design projects, thanks to the contacts with Lucio Fontana, Piero Manzoni, and Enrico Castellani. Her works are displayed worldwide, and she participated in several solo and group exhibitions.
