Vico Magistretti 892 “Carimate” benches for Cassina, black and red lacquered wood and straw seat, Italy, 1962, set of two.

The 892 “Carimate” bench was created for the club house of ‘Carimate’s Golf Club’ restaurant in 1962. This model recalls the “Carimate” chair, inspired by the tradition of countryside furniture and simple materials such as straw and wood. Magistretti created this series of timeless chairs combining traditional Italian craftsmanship and modernist design.
