Vittorio Valabrega dining chairs, velvet and wood, Italy, 1950s, set of eight.
These sculpted chairs recall the Art Deco Movement with their elegant shapes. The wooden structure is carefully crafted in each part. The conic legs and their slightly inclined position create an intense optical illusion. The backrest visualizes the artist’s hand and his movement to treat the wood, resulting in beautifully curved shapes. Instead, the padded seat and the upper part of the backrest are upholstered with the original soft velvet.
